Projects - Multimedia Designer 2000-2002

The projects displayed on this page are from my Multimedia education at LUC. Theses projects mostly concern webdesign and related digital art. These illustrate the more creative part of education. The projects listed here are by now rather old and like any other designer I have a hard time looking at past work. Some of the errors one did back then seem so obvious and at times embarrassing by now. So please bear in mind that these projects were my first steps in the realm of digital arts and that I've later learned so much more :-)

I've structured each project descriptions with a short summary, relevant links and downloads. So if you are looking for some in depth knowledge on a particular project, check out the downloads.

If you should find the content of this page useful, fell free to use it, but please remember where you got it from and give credits accordingly.

Web Usability Guide-lines - En Diskussion af Jakob Nielsen

01.11.2002

Course:

WebDesign, Multimedia designer 4th Semester

Description:

In this project I wrote a discussion about the theories developed by Danish usability guru Jakob Nielsen. I point out some debatable areas of his theories and argument why I some of his set guidelines should not be followed. Bear in mind that I deeply respect the work of this man but that I disagree with the basis of some of his rules.

The project is in DANISH.

Fresh N Fast

15.01.2002

Course:

Visualization and Koncept development, Multimedia-designer 3rd Semester

Description:

In this project my group and I developed the concept for a online fast food shop. The generel idea was that it offered both healthy food and ordinary fast food for the busy business man/woman, delivered at no charge. We were far to design orientated than concept orientated, which meant that we developed a far to flashy and unusable website for an idea that didn't hold that well. Some aspect of the idea has later seemed to work though since several Danish companies took up free delivery with success a year after.

BeoPalm

01.06.2001

Course:

Marketing Strategy and Communication, Multimedia-designer 2nd Semester

Description:

In this project my group and I developed a concept and marketing plan for a fictive B&O product called the BeoPalm. This product was a combination between, palm computers, mp3 players and mobile phones all merged into one device. A very good idea it seems since such products are very popular today. A pity we didn't go anywhere with our idea and project back then I guess.
